Big Night

I would like to describe a film I saw in the Istanbul film festival with my friends last week, at Rexx in Kadikoy. The film is called ''Big Night''. It is an American film, produced in 1996 and directed by Campell Scott and Stanley Tucci. Leding actors and actresses in the film are Stanley Tucci, Tony Shalhoub, Minnie Driver and Isabella Rosselini. Stanley Tucci both directs and acts in the film succesfully. It is a very nice comedy and it is set in the 1950s in New York.

The Film tells the story of two immigrant Italian brothers, Primo and Secondo, and Pascal, who owns the restaurant next door. The brothers are trying to run a good Italian restaurant in the 1950s in America but struggling to find enough customers. The problem is that the brothers want to serve the best Italian food, but the customers only want spaghetti and meatballs. They gamble all their mone on one Big Night, inviting a famous jazz musician to have dinner there. Unfortunately, he doesn't arrive and the brothers lose a lot of money. In the eng, they realize they will not be successful without changing some good things about their food.

If you are attracted by comedy films and Italian cuisine, then I would recommend this film, It gives the audiences a good idea of Italian culture and makes everybody laugh at the same time. The acting is amazing. But above all, it is an artistic film, beautifully directed.
